Vineyards in the heart of the Albera

Native varieties, a product of proximity

The winery is located in Capmany, one of the villages that forms part of the route of the enotouristic route “Empordà Camins de vins”. Located at the foot of the Albera forming part of this line between sea and mountain. Walls and huts of dry stone accompany us along the countryside typical of the lands.

In the Empordà there are a series of suitable factors that favour us to the wine production and wines with character. The climate, with the Tramontana, the strong north wind that can reach 120 km / h, favouring a good growth of these plantations, has very beneficial effects for the good sanitary condition of the vineyard.

On the other hand, the temperature, the winters are mild with few frosts and the hot summers, tempered by the sea breezes. The soil of the vineyards are granite composed of slate.

The plots of vineyards, belonging to the estate Can Llibori, over 30 years old, extending over 12 hectares, around the village of Empordà, showing us green landscapes and give us tranquillity.

The quality of the grape is the most important when it comes to making a good wine, that is why we respect the maximum vineyards with the minimum use of fungicides and products that are not very respectful. Respect for nature and consumer health is paramount.

Different plantations are cultivated from the highest sustainability criteria. Black grapes, from the native black Grenache and Cariñena, but also, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Tempranillo, as well as the white ones are White Chardonnay, White Grenache and Muscatel.
